Lloyd was proud to have constructed this 47,000 SF, 7-story state-of-the-art building for the University.

The scope included optical research labs, teaching labs and classrooms. Additionally, there was a new two-story lobby with exhibit space, an expanded reading room, faculty offices, informal discussion areas and conference space. 6,000 SF of the existing building features renovated classrooms and teaching laboratories were also included in the new space. The project was built on 98 drilled bell caissons designed to limit the building vibration, which can interfere with the delicate scientific work taking place in the labs.
